Linking the art market with promoting young artists and culture

The Cultural Society of Entrepreneurs of Northern Greece and the 5th Art-Thessaloniki International Contemporary Art Fair (November 25-28, 2021), for the second time honoured young artists, up to 33 years old, selected by a professional jury with the MATAROA Awards.

Aiming to promote and showcase young artists as part of the country’s cultural frontline, the two co-organizers host a contest, set up a thematic exhibition and bestow a series of awards to every artist who stands out. The open call process, that includes a portfolio submission and the candidates’ evaluation by a special 5-member jury, 10 young artists are get the chance to individually exhibit their work, in a specially configured venue, during the 5th Art Thessaloniki Fair.
