Administration of estates
ArtForum Culture Foundation holds and administrate few of the greatest art photography collections. It is a pleasure supervising and promoting the photographies of these important artists, aware that we may conserve and transmit a real treasure of European photography.
The Mebusch Estate
Artforum Culture Foundation is pleased to hold the artistic estate of the late photographer and conceptual artist Heinz-Günter Mebusch – The Mebusch Estate. Mebusch (1952-2001) was a photographer and conceptual artist who gave a great input to contemporary photography. His photo portrait work series with more than 200 portraits of important artists are a fundamental document of the art of his time and a monument of conceptual art.
Isler Administration
The Swiss photographer Vera Isler (1931 – 2015) created an independent, psychologising portrait series in context with Mebusch, in which a new fresh look on people in different social situations becomes possible. Characteristic of Isler’s multi-faceted oeuvre are self-contained artistic and thematic creative phases. The individual work groups such as programming, genetic and the later photo and video works of New York cultural scene are characterised by a deep sympathy and consistent design. It was the personal desire of Vera Isler to collect and administrate her work by the Artforum Culture Foundation, to promote and distribute it in editions and to take care for her role in art history.
Both, Mebusch and Isler, were volunteers of Artforum Culture Foundation for many years.
Moore Administration
The English photographer and sculptor John B.C. Moore (1934 – 2016), only son of the famous pianist Vera Moore and the sculptor legend Constantin Brancusi, lived and worked in France. He was inventor and the man behind the colourful light shows of Crazy Horse Paris. As a photographer he sought his motifs in the area of dancers and actors. But his work includes as well landscapes, abstracts, experimental technics as well as underwater photographs. His style is mainly characterized by technical and aesthetic experiments that will assign his work a significant place within European
photography.
